300mm Orion Optics Dobsonian Reflector Telescope

The 300mm Orion Optics Dobsonian is the largest portable telescope we currently have for hire. The 30cm diameter mirror gathers an enormous amount of light to reveal intricate detail in many planetary and deep sky objects. Over 10,000 astronomical objects are easily within the reach of this telescope. 

For its large size (telescope tube is 1.3m in length, 30cm in diameter and weighs about 18kg) the 12-Inch 300mm Orion Optics telescope is reasonably portable, and is easy to set up and use. It fits onto a metal rotating base about 15kg in weight that enables you to aim the tube up and down and side to side just by pushing the tube around manually.

A couple of interchangeable lenses are supplied to give you a choice of magnification to play with. You’ll also have a folder of stargazing information that shows you where to aim the telescope to get the best views of celestial objects for the time of year.
