Dark Sky Telescope Hire offer private stargazing experiences for couples, families and groups from the Peak District’s best dark sky location near Hathersage, Derbyshire. We bring a telescope and our astronomy knowledge to you for a 1-hour or 2-hour exclusive stargazing experience.
Your Peak District Dark Sky Experience will begin with a laser-guided tour of the stars & constellations that we can see on our chosen night. Our astronomer will then use one of our large telescopes to take you out on a tour across the universe. Along the way we’ll stop at star systems, star clusters, nebulae and galaxies far beyond our own, and we’ll give you the background story to each view. If the moon and / or planets are in the night sky on your chosen date then we’ll visit them too with the telescope.
Our Peak District stargazing experiences are available on week nights and weekend nights. If you’re looking to buy the stargazing experience for someone as a gift then we can package the experience as a gift voucher.
Our price is dependent on the number of people in your party. We can run private stargazing experience nights in the Peak District for couples, families, groups and corporate events.
